Hello all. Since I started this site in November last year, it’s been getting piles of unique visitors (about 20,000) and steadily increasing amounts weekly traffic. The news aggregator is obviously the most popular part of the site that people visit, but little about it has changed since it was launched all those months ago.

I would love to get some feedback about the site. Are there any new features you’d like to see (like a reddit style voting system)? Are you getting bored with how it looks/functions? Should the feeds be re-jigged? Is there something you really don’t like about it? Should it be rebranded into something easier to remember?

I’d really love to know. There is scope for developing the site to be a lot more than what it currently is. While it looks fairly simple on the front end, there is lots of cool stuff going on behind the scenes, piles news data being logged etc. just begging to have magic applied to it. I personally feel it could be a lot better than what it is, but I’m sure there are people that appreciate the simplicity of the current format. Either way, I’d really appreciate some feedback about the site.

This is the brilliant new video for the track ‘Pork and Beans’ off Weezer’s new Red Album. It’s a superb track and the video is chock full of internet memes from start to finish. The light saber drumsticks are the piece de resistance. The rest of the album is well worth checking out, especially ‘The Greatest Man That Ever Lived‘. Enjoy.

The crowd’s reaction kind of says it all really. Listen to the cries of geeky joy as Gambit (arguably the most entertaining X-Men character) makes his first big-screen appearance. I cannot WAIT to see this. Along with the Watchmen trailer as posted previously, 2009 is shaping up very nicely indeed.

Came across this on YouTube while looking at some cider making videos earlier. It made me laugh my ass off. I can’t seem to figure why. Maybe it’s because the failure is so spectacular? Maybe it’s the lack of effort? I just don’t know. But it’s beautiful in it’s own surreal way. It should be in the Tate Modern on a loop.

Saw it last night. It’s the probably the best superhero movie ever made. In fact, it’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen. It makes Empire Strikes Back look like a pile of puke.

Go and see this movie as soon as you can. Twice.

Lidl Treats

via Damien, Lidl Treats is a ridiculously useful site that blogs the tastier bits and pieces your can pick up at Lidl. The site’s focus is mostly on food at the moment but it would be cool to see it branch out into things like washing powders, shampoos, booze etc. too. I really like the design, and the tag cloud is done well.

PS. My personal reccomendations would be Aldi gammon steaks, which keep for absolutely ages in your fridge, and their Black Forest ham.
